I was going to write a blog about my trip to Cambodia at the end of Sept. and early Oct. but instead I have decided to publish a small selection of photographs from the trip. These pictures were taken on my mobile phone and I am certainly not a photographer, but they do give you some idea of what it was like.
The Temples of Siem Reap are absolutely stunning and I only went to a very small selection of them. Angkor Wat is amazing in its scale, and the beauty of the detail, all done in the 11th century! My favourite was Bayon, although Ta Prohm is also very cool.
Phnom Penh has all the crazy business of a South East Asian city, but the people are super friendly and quite relaxed and so it is an easy place to be. The markets are amazing the food is excellent and cheap and there are some very good craft shops for the all important gifts to bring home.
It is my intention to do a trip back to Cambodia 8th to 23rd July 2017. I would need to have a minimum of 8 and maximum of 10 people from here to come along. Our possible schedule is 4 days in Siem Reap, 5 in Phnom Penh and 4 in Kep. I would teach a yoga class most days, either in the morning or evening (depending on what people want), and we would do some sight seeing. I am still working on getting a costing done, but if you are interested in the meantime then let me know by emailing info@astanga.co.nz
